The technical ministry at the Synod of Alaska-Northwest is the ministry of communication. Communication is at the heart of the gospel (“Go, and make disciples”) and technology plays a large role in communicating in today’s world. A successful communications plan includes a presence on the web so that your ministry can reach out to the community, and email so that your staff can efficiently work well together in ministry. The Synod’s Tech Ministry is available to all of our congregations, new church developments, fellowships, and affiliated ministries and is offered at no cost. For ministries outside of our Synod, some fees apply (see Policy and Fee insert).
By centralizing our technical resources Synod-wide, we can increase the ability of all our ministries to use technology to further the message of Christ in the world, and at the same time be wise stewards of God’s resources. We can offer services to churches that would not otherwise be able to afford such possibilities. Our technology platform is yet another way in which we connect with each other and work together in cooperative ministry.
“So we, who are many, are one body
in Christ, and individually we are members one of another.” -- Romans 12:5
