Grants Task Force

The Task Force met in June of 2010 to review the applications that were received prior to the May 15 deadline. It is the job of the Task Force members to understand what funds have been allocated for disbursement, and to read the grants and make decisions.

The moderator of the Grants Task Force is Rev. James Berkley, Synod Commissioner, Seattle Presbytery. Other task force members are:

The following grants were rewarded in June of 2010:

Church/Ministry	Purpose
Bingle Camp	To replace unsanitary dishwashing equipment.
Calvin PC	To begin a ministry to community college students.
Camp Spalding	To replace a kitchen washing machine and dryer.
First PC of Fairbanks	To help fund an aviation ministry in the Alaska interior.
Mending Wings	To further a youth ministry to Yakama Nation youth.
Metlakatla PC	To help provide part of the costs of heating oil for the winter of 2010–11.
Southminster PC	To provide part of the seminary tuition expenses for Inquirer Aaron Willett.
Pullman PC	To provide a stipend for a full-time college ministries intern, and to provide equipment and infrastructure for The Inn at Washington State University.
Woodland Park PC	To provide an updated church website to reach out to techno-savvy neighbors.
