Village Partnership Program in the Presbytery of the Yukon Friday, May 09, 2008 (12 reads)
Many Village churches in the Presbytery of the Yukon struggle with not having enough funds to achieve the ministry that they believe God wishes for them, and require finding money from beyond the presbytery. Toward that end, the council of the Presbytery of Yukon recommended that Village churches partner with congregations in establishing relationships with interested congregations in the Lower 48. Thus the Village Partnership Program was born.
Congratulations to the Kaktovik Presbyterian Church!! Kaktovik PC in Alaska is the first to establish a partnership with a Lower 48 congregation under this new Villages Partnership Program. The First Presbyterian Church of Manitowoc, Wisconsin will bring $500 into the partnership, in support of the pastor’s salary. They are now discussing what the Kaktovik Presbyterian Church will be bringing to the partnership. Read More |
